Bollywood Secrets Revealed!

Rani, the 'replacing' queen!
Rani Mukerji was cast in the role of Tina Malhotra in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' after Twinkle Khanna, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Aishwarya Rai, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor didn't accept the offer. Similarly, her character in 'Ghulam' was initially offered to Pooja Bhatt and yet again, Mahima Chaudhary was the first choice for 'Hadh Kar Di Apne'. Rani Mukerji is surely fortunate enough!

John says no for 'wooing' Kareena
Before, John Abraham proved himself in the world of Bollywood, Karan Johar offered him to play the role of Robbie in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. Robbie, who was later on played by TV actor Vikas Sethi tries to woo flippant Kareena Kapoor in the movie and probably John was not interested and declined the cameo offer. Later on, John bagged the lead role in Karan Johar's 'Kaal' and 'Dostana'! It's all in the destiny, we can say.

Tom Cruise was the first choice for 'DDLJ'!
Aditya Chopra wanted to cast Tom Cruise for the legendary role of 'Raj Malhotra' in 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' as he wanted it to be an Indo-American affair. But Aditya Chopra had to re-work on his story as Yash Chopra didn't want to make it with foreign star. We appreciate Yash Chopra for the decision as it's now hard to imagine DDLJ without the King Khan and equally hard to envisage Tom Cruise in our desi- Raj style!

Real efforts for reel 'Devdas'
Our Bollywood actors surely make an extra effort to portray their characters real on-screen and the same happened on the sets of 'Devdas'. The King Khan used to drink a few pegs before shooting despite of the fact that SRK normally doesn't drink alcohol. And, normally a film shoot requires two-three generators but for filming 'Devdas', 700 lightmen and 42 generators were used. This caused problems for weddings in Mumbai as there were no generators left!

Abhi, the fearless man!
Abhishek Bachchan is indubitably a fearless man and which was quite evident during the shooting of 'Dhoom 2'. Abhishek had to shoot an introduction scene in Goa with a Jet Ski and everyone knew that there were crocodiles in the water and which was clearly visible also. But this didn't prevent Abhi from shooting in the same water and very courageously he did fall into the water many times and luckily, nothing unfortunate happened!
